Programs & Projects

HOW THE WORK IS DELIVERED

Friends of Dago’s six strategic pathways describe the outcomes the community is working toward. Programs and projects are the delivery mechanisms. Some are led or coordinated by Friends of Dago with Dago Dala Hera; some are led by independent long-term partners serving Dago; and some are implementation partnerships in which Friends of Dago delivers defined work within a larger project framework.

Friends of Dago-led & FOD/DDH-coordinated initiatives

Partner-led programs serving Dago

Independent long-term partners also operate their own programs that directly support Dago priorities. Examples include One Way Out-led Dago Threads of Hope and student sponsorship, Ascend Kenya scholarship and transition support, Amani Partners Kenya education/health/community support, and Mission Partners Kenya sponsorship and engagement. Friends of Dago supports stewardship, coordination, evidence and community connection where applicable without claiming ownership of partner-led programs.

Implementation Partnerships

Friends of Dago also serves as an implementation partner in selected multi-organization projects. In these cases, the website separates project ownership, contractual responsibility, local implementation, funding, technical contribution and community stewardship so each organization receives accurate credit.

Greener Nairobi Urban Forestry is a current Friends of Dago implementation partnership. Project records document Friends of Dago as a local/lead implementation partner within the broader IDEAS For Us–One Tree Planted project framework.

One rule across every model

Community-led → Friends of Dago-enabled or implemented where applicable → partner roles clearly separated → jointly evidenced → community-owned outcome.

See Partnerships & Evidence for how roles, claims and outcomes are verified.
