HOW THE WORK IS DELIVERED
Friends of Dago’s six strategic pathways describe the outcomes the community is working toward. Programs and projects are the delivery mechanisms. Some are led or coordinated by Friends of Dago with Dago Dala Hera; some are led by independent long-term partners serving Dago; and some are implementation partnerships in which Friends of Dago delivers defined work within a larger project framework.
Find a program
Looking for housing, safe water or sanitation? Visit Safe Homes, Water, Sanitation & Dignity (Pathway 5) for Dago’s historical housing completion, the 2025–2026 partner-led latrine project, the 2025 house-construction phase, and clean-water evidence. The pathway distinguishes completed infrastructure from work in progress and does not treat the historical record as a current construction offer.
Five Stage 5 workstreams are jointly approved for preparation and locally directed implementation. The status beside each program distinguishes an approved plan from activities that have actually begun.

The physical site, devices, session dates and learner enrollment will be confirmed from actual operating records.
Women’s Microfinance — try four free financial-literacy exercises — budgeting, fictional pricing, understanding hypothetical borrowing terms and safe recordkeeping. No current loan, borrower enrollment or application offer is implied.

Community food systems & agro-enterprise
Explore Dago’s locally guided production and livelihood work. Dago Dala Hera, households and community growers guide the activities below. Friends of Dago supports agreed resource mobilization, partnerships and evidence stewardship; community livestock and farms are not automatically assets owned by Friends of Dago. Current operating figures are attributed to local leadership, while dated historical achievements and initiatives still being reconfirmed are identified on their own pages. See the complete Nutrition, Agriculture & Environment pathway →

Kenyan Goals — Sports, Leadership & Community Health. A documented historical sports, youth-leadership, and community-health platform that operated through 2019 across a reconciled 14-village/community service area. Friends of Dago is developing a planned 2027 return; proposed activities remain separate from delivered results until completion records are available. Explore Kenyan Goals.
Community Health Camps. Historical Dago records document medical, dental, vision, HIV-testing, health-education, and referral activities delivered through joint community events. Future camps will remain labeled as planned until health partners, dates, resources, services, and follow-up arrangements are confirmed. Explore the health pathway · Read the Community Health Camps plan.
Digital Access & Technology — development priority. Historical records document an Enactus Ryerson-supported cyber café and computer-literacy activity serving children, adults, entrepreneurs, and community projects. Under the 2025–2030 strategy, library/computer access, connectivity, equipment, and digital-skills training are development priorities; current delivery and reach will be published only after implementation and usage records are confirmed. Explore the learning pathway · Read the Digital Access plan.
Women’s Microfinance — jointly approved development and learning work. Friends of Dago and Dago Dala Hera are advancing financial-literacy, enterprise-learning, safeguarding and evidence-reconciliation work with community women. Historical FOD/DDH and Enactus Ryerson/Toronto Metropolitan University Project Dago financial activities are identified by source and period; they do not establish a current loan balance, active lending service or new borrower count. Explore women’s economic empowerment · Read the Microfinance workstream.
Proposed Village Banking — jointly approved design; not yet rolled out. Women’s voluntary choice of group model and rules, educational preparation, safeguarding, and applicable Kenyan legal/naming review are part of the approved workplan. No operating savings group, collected deposits, new loans or licensed banking service is implied. Any future financial activity will follow the separate member and applicable operational decisions. Partner-led programs serving Dago
Independent long-term partners also operate their own programs that directly support Dago priorities. Examples include One Way Out-led Dago Threads of Hope and student sponsorship, Ascend Kenya scholarship and transition support, Amani Partners Kenya education/health/community support, and Mission Partners Kenya sponsorship and engagement. Friends of Dago supports stewardship, coordination, evidence and community connection where applicable without claiming ownership of partner-led programs.
Implementation Partnerships
Friends of Dago also serves as an implementation partner in selected multi-organization projects. In these cases, the website separates project ownership, contractual responsibility, local implementation, funding, technical contribution and community stewardship so each organization receives accurate credit.
Greener Nairobi Urban Forestry is a current Friends of Dago implementation partnership. Project records document Friends of Dago as a local/lead implementation partner within the broader IDEAS For Us–One Tree Planted project framework.
One rule across every model
Community-led → Friends of Dago-enabled or implemented where applicable → partner roles clearly separated → jointly evidenced → community-owned outcome.
See Partnerships & Evidence for how roles, claims and outcomes are verified.
