A Shared Leadership Model
The work is not directed by one office or one person. Responsibility is distributed across local community leadership, Dago Dala Hera Self-Help Group, the Friends of Dago Board, and the Founder/President.
Community Leadership
The Dago Community Leadership Team and Dago Dala Hera Self-Help Group set priorities, approve programs, guide implementation, and provide ongoing community feedback.
Friends of Dago Board
The Board of Directors carries fiduciary responsibility, approves key policies and executive compensation, oversees organizational risk, and holds executive leadership accountable.
Executive Leadership
Executive leadership translates strategy into partnerships, fundraising, operations, reporting, and support systems while remaining accountable to the Board and community direction.
FOUNDER & PRESIDENT
Patrick Odoyo
Patrick Odoyo founded Friends of Dago, Inc. in 2010 after years of community work with Dago Dala Hera. His role is to serve as a global bridge—leading strategy, partnerships, fundraising, organizational development, and resource mobilization around locally defined priorities.
The Founder/President is accountable to the Friends of Dago Board and works in partnership with Dago Dala Hera and community leadership rather than directing local programs independently.

How Decisions Move Through the System
