These journeys can be volunteer opportunities, too. Individuals, university teams, professional groups and community organizations may express interest in ethical, skills-based volunteering, service-learning, or simply learning alongside local hosts. When appropriate, each journey can include agreed volunteer activities matched to community priorities, visitor skills, partner consent and safeguarding requirements. Submitting an inquiry is not a confirmed volunteer placement.
Important program boundaries: Women’s Microfinance and the proposed Village Banking entries below are learning concepts only, not opportunities to handle member deposits, loans, private financial records or to establish a new group. Village Banking has not rolled out. Any future learning exchange requires the women’s and local program leaders’ agreement. The medical and sports camp is a historical theme, not a clinical volunteer placement or confirmed 2027 service.
The original Dago365 planning calendar mapped 26 example team journeys by pairing community learning themes. Browse the entire concept below; actual 2027 visits are designed with local hosts and program owners, not selected from a fixed departure catalogue.
What “26” means: these are 26 proposed journey or cohort combinations from the original planning calendar—not 26 independently operating community programs, confirmed departures, or available placements. Some themes repeat (including journeys 11 and 16); two entries were optional January 2028 extensions in that archive. The old 12-day example dates have not been published as confirmed 2027 departures. The adopted standard 2027 program is two weeks at US$3,500 per participant; a written offer will confirm the actual itinerary, partner approvals, dates, lodging, inclusions and price terms before booking.

Youth leadership, sports and community health (2 concepts)
Youth and health-related learning requires qualified supervision, a relevant local organizer’s invitation, and activity-specific safeguards; clinical placements are not offered through this catalogue.

Tell us what you hope to learn, your skills, group profile and preferred dates. Friends of Dago consults Dago Dala Hera, local hosts and the relevant independent partners to assess capacity, suitability and safeguards. Only then can the team propose a confirmed scope, accommodation, dates and participation requirements in writing. Clinical services, access to children, construction work, and partner-led programs are never guaranteed by this catalogue.
