Donations for The Desk Project

Friends of Dago is a 5013C nonprofit whose purpose is to improve the lives of the people in Dago Kenya.

Dago Primary School provides education for over 500 children in Dago village and surrounding communities.  While school is mandatory and encouraged, very few government resources are provided for books, teachers and facilities.  The children learn in crowded classrooms sitting shoulder to shoulder on long benches.  Individual desks for the children have been identified by the school and community as a top priority.

The Friends of Dago Desk Project has been raising money to provide desks for the Dago Primary School.   In August 2022, a group from Orlando traveled to Dago and took part in a celebration when the first batch of 70 desks was delivered to the children purchased by our donations. We also took clothes, books, and sports equipment for the children of Dago.  We are still raising funds towards the purchase of more desks so that each child in the school will have their own desk.  A donation of $35 covers the cost of one desk.  Any amount you can contribute is greatly appreciated.
